All the evidence points towards the gospels being accurate on this point: if Jesus had not risen again, those disciples would not have endured what they did because they would’ve realised their entire faith was a joke. No, Jesus truly died and truly rose again. And he shows us in that resurrection what our destiny is to be.
Paul says, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. So because Jesus rose again, we have this chance to rise again too.
If the Lord doesn’t come back before we die, then this is our fate. We will fall asleep and then in Christ we will rise. We will see life again.
I don’t know how all the timing of that works out, my friends, but what we know for sure, we can know for sure we can accept and trust is that we will have life everlasting.
