This is what Jesus achieves for us by bearing all of our sins and casting them away so that God will not have sight or memory of them. This is his ministry of reconciliation to us.
My friends, I don’t where we’d be without this. We’d be constantly reminded of our sin and constantly trying to atone for it and knowing that we can’t because we can never fully atone for our sins. No, that took a perfect once for all sacrifice. That’s what Jesus did for us.
This is something we focus on again and again as Christians because it’s important that we live and remember this truth. God says, I will remember your sin and your lawless deeds no more.
