Today’s meditation is on Psalm 95, verse 6. Oh, come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord, our maker.
It is excellent to be reminded by the Psalmist that one of our first duties, which is a blessed duty, is to kneel before God, to come in humility and with gratitude and thankfulness before the Lord who is our maker. He made us. He is why we are here. Without Him, we would be nothing. We could do nothing.
And so today, whenever you’re watching this at the start of the day, at the end of the day, in the middle, let’s focus on God. Let’s bring Him praise and the worship and adoration that He deserves. He is God. There is no one greater than Him. There’s no one higher than Him. There’s no one wiser, more loving, more just, more kind.
He is eternal and unchanging. He is the God of our salvation. Let’s worship Him. Let’s bow down, physically maybe, certainly in our hearts, and kneel before the Lord, our Maker.
God, you are awesome. You are extravagantly good. You have bestowed on us life and love and relationship and salvation. You have given us a universe to live in, a place in this universe that expresses your glory. We worship you. We place you first. Amen.
