Today’s meditation is on Psalm 147, verse 11. But the Lord takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.
Do you ever wonder how God feels about you? Do you ever think, He couldn’t love me. I’m not worthy.
If we fear him, and this is reverence-fear, remember, if we fear him If we treat him as holy and worthy to be praised, he takes pleasure in us, he delights in us. He looks at us and thinks, wow, I love him, I love her. What a person. What a person made in my image.
And all we have to do is have hope. Hope in his steadfast love, which he has proven to us over and over again, through time immemorial. He is a good God, He is a kind God, He is a righteous God, He is just, but so loving, so gracious, and He takes pleasure in you, my dear friend.
