Now we Christians, we know that we have to repent and turn to Jesus and that is the way that we accept and receive our salvation. But what about our ongoing relationship with him? The act on the cross isn’t conditional in the sense that we have to keep our noses clean – we always have to do the right thing. We have this ongoing relationship now with our Saviour. And He obtains forgiveness for us. He has. He’s done that.
But He wants us to confess our sins on an ongoing basis because He knows that we aren’t always going to be doing the right thing.
