I will sing praise to your name O Most High.
David makes that choice. He’s made this decision of his heart, his mind, and his will. He is going to be glad. He is going to spend time basking in the name of God. He is going to spend time thinking about him and praising him. He’s going to sing praise to the name of God. And if this is good enough for King David, then it’s certainly good enough for us.
How do we ensure that we are being glad, that we are making ourselves glad and exulting in God? Well, we can reflect on all that we’ve seen him do through scripture and in our lives and in the histories of those who’ve gone before us.
And we can also choose to sing praise to God whether or not we’ve been gifted with a voice that could sell records.
