You may have gone through the valley of the shadow of death, like I have. For my wife and I, this was particularly true in the closing weeks of our 19-year-old son’s life.
We knew he was going to go and be with Jesus. But it was a traumatic ending. It was definitely a valley with the shadow of death in it.
And so as parents and as people who loved Morgan, we grieved throughout and afterwards. But we knew, we knew beyond a shadow of doubt that there was no evil to fear in this situation because of the certainty of the hope of resurrection, because of the fact that we would see our formerly disabled son in heaven completely whole one day when we go to be with him and to be with Jesus.
