When we talk about anything that is considered a sin, we look at ourselves first. We look at the plank in our own eye before attempting to deal with a speck in someone else’s.
We are all sinners, my friend. All we need to do is think an evil thought or behave in a way that is anything less than holy and there we have fallen short of God’s standards, which is sin. So there’s never any cause for anyone to feel superior to anyone else.
Here’s a news flash. All churches are full of sinners. Every single one of us . We are all looking to God and trying to find out together how we can love him and obey him best. And for every single one of us, this means letting go of things that we don’t want to let go of.
