This world does not want us to follow Jesus. This world does not want us to abide by God’s moral code. This world does not want us to worship the one true and living God.
And if we do that, if we’re conquering in that way, following Jesus, serving him, then this has a message for us about authority. Jesus is saying, I’m going to share some of my authority with you. I will grant to you to sit with me on my throne.
He is delegating to us some of the things that are within his remit: The spreading of the gospel, the casting out of demons, the pronouncing of healing, the bringing salvation to the lost.
