All you need to do is to read the Bible to see that God is extremely practical and interested in the lives of all his creatures.
So we hold onto his word. We keep him in mind. We ensure that the thoughts that we are thinking are the thoughts he wants us to think, and thus we are not shaken. Thus we do not stumble on the course that God has set out for us.
This is probably easier said than done, isn’t it? But this isn’t something we have to do in our own strength. We are helped in this by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit himself helps us to walk in step with him.
