Most of the time here, my friends, my objective is to lead us in meditating on God’s word. But today I want to do something slightly different, which is to bless you, to pray for you using Romans chapter 15, verse 13. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing so that by the power of the Holy Spirit, you may abound in hope.
This literally is my prayer for you. For each and every person that interacts with this video, my prayer is that this will be true for you. That God who gives us hope, will give you joy. He will give you peace in your belief, and that that power of the Holy Spirit will be richly found in your life.
I believe with all my heart that meditating on the word of God and engaging with God transforms our lives. And I guess you must believe it too because you are here with me.
So my prayer continues to be that as you do this, as you come on this journey, on your own journey of meditating on God’s word, of leaning in to all that he has for you, that all these things will become true of you. And I know that they will because this is the way that God operates. The apostle Paul knew that, and that’s why he prayed this for the Romans, and we can now interact with this verse.
So once more, I am praying literally for you watching this video or listening to the audio or reading the transcript. I am praying that God, our God of hope will fill you with so much joy and give you peace and help you believe in him, and that the Holy Spirit’s power will abound in hope.
