The God who created this universe must be pretty limitless in his power mustn’t he.
And Paul goes on to say, according to the power at work within us: the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in us giving us life day to day, empowering us. We are filled with the Holy Spirit from the moment of conversion so that we are then equipped and empowered to do God’s work for him.
And in recognising all of that, God’s surpassing power and the fact that he grants power to us, in recognition of this, we have to ascribe to him, we have to give to him, we have to recognise in him his glory that is revealed in us and in his church, through which he operates on this earth, and particularly through Christ Jesus and all that he did.
