We don’t need to do anything at all to be right with God. We don’t have to try and please him even to stand righteous before him. No, Jesus did that.
So in our trying to please him, we are simply doing that because he’s our Father and we love him. We’re not doing it to get into his good graces. We’re already there.
So this is truly liberating and uplifting to be an inheritor from God. Can you imagine? He created this universe? What’s our inheritance going to look like? It’s gonna be wild. We have so much to look forward to in the next life once Jesus has returned and once the fullness of all that God intends for this world is complete.
