We are heading towards the ultimate consummation when Jesus returns for his bride, the Church. And when God’s rule and reign is extended everywhere permanently for all time. Doesn’t that put everything else that’s going on in life into perspective?
Lord God, please help us to remain self-controlled and sober-minded as we think of all that Jesus has done, all that he has achieved, and all that, his work at the cross is still achieving. May your kingdom come and your will be done on earth today and in greater and greater measure. We look forward to the return of Jesus Christ, our Messiah, when God, you are fully revealed to all creation and we will see you face to face. Amen.
