Poor company, awful things on social media that to us at the time seem desirable and pleasant. But we know if we’re honest with ourselves that if Jesus were standing right next to us, we wouldn’t do or say or think any of these things.
If we keep sowing these things into us, over the course of our life, we will head into disaster. And I know that many of you watching this know this to be true from difficult personal experience.
So the counterpoint here is sowing to the Spirit. We know how to do this. We are doing this right now as we meditate on the word of God. Let us then be in that discipline of sowing consistently to our spirit rather than to our flesh so that we can reap that incredible reward of eternal life.
This is not a gospel of works, but this is a gospel of outcomes. When we sow good things, good things return. When we sow evil things, evil things return and grow.
