You will never on this channel hear me endorse the prosperity gospel, which is no gospel at all. And yet prosperity is in the Bible and it is good and it is for us. Take a look at Psalm chapter one, verse three. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in season and its leaf does not wither in all that he does he prospers.
He’s talking here about the righteous man who studies the law of God, who meditates on it, who takes it in into his heart. That’s us. We are meditating on God’s word.
And so the promise here from God is that we will be like these trees planted by streams of water. That we will be fruitful, that we will bear fruit in its season, that our leaves won’t be withering. That in what we do for God, his blessing will be in it.
