In worshipping him, we are just saying God, we are giving you your due. We are recognising who you are. You are the spiritual being who gave life to us and to this entire universe. And this gives us the perspective that we need in order to worship him in truth, recognising his supremacy over us and his love for us.
And so my friends, this helps us enter into the right frame of mind, the right state of heart to be able to worship God the way he deserves and wants to be worshipped. Maybe next time you’re about to enter a worship service with other believers, reflect on this and decide in your heart that you will today worship him in spirit and truth.
