God has plans that affect all of us, that transcend time and eternity and that are steadfast and sure and cannot be shaken. No matter what we do, we cannot disrupt God’s plans for us. He is so faithful to us that He will continue with what He intends for us.
And so there’s comfort no matter what we may be going through. Whether it’s a time of sorrow, discipline, joy, an apparently unfruitful season, whatever’s going on, God’s plans for us are unchanged. He loves us. He’s given us Jesus Christ. He’s promised us salvation. He’s promised us a future with him.
And because of all these things, we can have hope. Rest on the promises and plans of God for you. Let us not be like Peter, who, when walking on the water, looked down at it and thought, I can’t stand on this, and sank. Let us be the ones instead, who look up to our Master and say, You have called me. So I’m going to come.
