When Jesus is in your life, your purpose changes. Your character is developed in accordance with God’s principles and purposes. The Holy Spirit is growing his Fruit in you.
Is there a sense in which we can have more life, more of Jesus? Of course there is. His resources are never ending. They are inexhaustible. And as we ask Him for more life, for more of Himself, He will give freely and generously to us.
The question, though, that we should ask ourselves is whether this life is just for us, or is it for those around us? There’s enough of God’s life. There’s enough of Jesus’s life to go around for everyone. So let us do what we can to ensure that there are fewer and fewer people around us who do not have the Son of God, and hence do not have life.
Thank you, Jesus Christ, for giving your life for us and to us. Please grant us favour and blessing as we share your life with others. Amen.
