We are all family in the church.
And Jesus expected and Paul endorses this radical love that we should have for one another. It should be obvious to people from the inside looking into the church that we love each other.
What does that mean? It means the way we treat each other is very different from the way people in the world treat each other. This is some next level love.
A high standard to attain. And it does require sacrifice. It does require us laying down some of those things we’d rather keep for ourselves.
But we have been given so much by God. Everything we have came from Him and we are going to be given so much more. So having received that great generosity, let’s do as Paul says, looking not only to our own needs and interests, but also looking to the needs and interests of our brothers and sisters in Christ.
