Jesus came as the perfect, sinless Prophet, because unlike Moses, Jesus put his full faith in God. He trusted him all the way through to a painful death and beyond. He is a purer, greater, more righteous, more holy prophet than Moses, which means we can trust every word that he says.
And Moses saw this before his own death and many years before Christ came to earth. He saw that another prophet was going to come that would lead Israel and then would bring the Gentiles grafted into a new covenant that God was giving us through the death of Christ.
