Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes in the morning.
David here is doing this poetic thing where he balances two extremes. On the one hand, you’ve got God’s anger, God’s righteous anger against sin, against the unrighteous acts of humans on this planet. But on the other hand, you’ve got his favour. His favour goes on and on. The anger is brief, the favour is eternal.
