Whoever sows sparingly, will also reap sparingly. And whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
Now let’s be really clear at the start. What we’re not preaching here is a gospel of prosperity. We’re not saying that in order to accumulate lots of stuff, you have to give lots of stuff away.
There are too many examples in the Bible of people renouncing earthly possessions, of storing up treasure in heaven. So we know that this can’t be what Paul’s driving at.
