Have you ever felt like a weak, pathetic loser, or have you ever felt on top of the world, and powerful and strong? Either way, today’s verse is for you. 2 Corinthians 12 verse 9. But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, but my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

And if we look through the history of the bible, all of these characters we see portrayed for us, so many of them messed up badly. They showed their weaknesses for all to see. And God chose to work through them, through David, through Gideon, through Samson, all of these heroes to us of the Faith. They were flawed and broken. And God said to each one of them, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power, God’s power, is made perfect in your weakness."

Compared to God, we will always be weak. But that’s okay, because the nature of God is that His glory will be shown, and His glory is shown best through us when we are submitted and humble.

So let us not revel in our strengths, although God has blessed us with strengths, and let us not despise our weaknesses, because God allows those weaknesses to exist. And in both cases, God is glorified.

He is glorified through unprecedented successes that we would never predict, because God’s grace has been on us. And he is glorified through the outworking of those strengths that he’s given us, that we apply ourselves to, that we improve on, where we practice and rehearse for the glory of our Maker.

I ask that he will bless you today. For his name’s sake. Farewell.
