Should we as Christians observe the law? And if so, what law? Let’s look at what the Psalmist says in Psalm 119 verse 2. Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart.

This "blessed are those who keep his testimonies"; ‘testimonies’ there is referring to the legal testimony of scripture, the law. Blessed are those who observe God’s law. And this is tied closely to seeking God with their whole hearts. So it’s a wholehearted thing to observe God’s law. And in what way should we now be observing God’s

law? Well, Jesus gave it to us, didn’t he, when he said that the whole law is summed up in two things: to love God and to love people. This is God’s law. This is the law of Christ. And we can do this with our whole hearts.

And the Psalmist says that there’s a blessing for us in this. If we are seeking after God with our whole hearts, then this means we are following that law. We are loving God wholeheartedly. We are loving those around us wholeheartedly.

What does that mean for you today? This is something we should meditate on further, isn’t it? What is it going to mean to us to keep his testimonies? And how might he bless us?

I encourage you to meditate on this scripture, which you’ll find in the description. Spend some time with the Holy Spirit and seek Him. What is He saying to you today, my friend? May God bless you as you seek.
