Our children may not know why we’re training them. They certainly won’t thank us for it when they’re children. But later on in life, I hope that your children will do as I do and thank my parents for giving me the right start, for showing me the right way, for teaching me about God and all that he asks of us.
We want our children to be fulfilled and happy, don’t we? This is the way to do it.
Lord God, please help us. Please help us all who have input into the life of a child to train them in the way that they should go, knowing that you are faithful. And when they are older, they won’t depart from that way.
