One of the things that can happen when we meditate is that we find God soothing our souls. That’s how I find this scripture. Isaiah 12 verse 2. Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust and will not be afraid. The Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.

This takes us back to our source, God. God is our salvation. God is the one who reaches out from heaven and draws us to him. God is the one who whispers into our ears and our hearts and says, "My child, I love you."

And just like in the best relationship between a child and a parent, the child can completely relax and trust that parent more even than that, we can relax into God into his arms and trust him. And we need not be afraid, even if everything around us looks like it’s going so badly wrong, we can trust in him and God gives us strength to continue.

And so this results in praise that bubbles up within us, that overflows in a song to our God. And this song speaks of our love, our trust, but most of all of the way that He has saved us, permanently saved us. We have nothing to fear, for our future is so secure and safe in his hands. We can trust him. We need not be afraid.

He is our strength. We sing to him. He is our salvation.

God, thank you for bringing words like this to us, knowing that they soothe and calm our souls. You are so good to us. You walk with us through the troubles and trials of life. You are our song and our salvation. Amen.
